Specialist Audi Workshops (B7 RS4) - Melbourne

KGB

New member
Hi Guys,

About to take delivery of a 2008 B7 RS4 Avant.

Could you please recommend any Specialist Audi Workshops in Melbourne, those beyond servicing Audi vehicles, who might be more experienced with the RS models (B7 in particular)?
I've found that with other older cars I own a true experienced specialist, who might seem expensive to start, becomes great value as the journey goes on...

Cheers,

Welcome to the forum mate.

I'm Sydney based so can't help with workshop recommendations. I've owned my B7 RS4 for 3-years and have had extensive work done (both due to issues and preventative maintenance). Happy to have a conversation with you to point you in the right direction on common issues/things to be aware of mate.

Cheers
Shant

Thank for your kind offer. I'll DM you.

It has a good service history, KW V3's fitted so that's the bigger elephant in the room dealt with. Sightly thicker rear sway bar also.
JHN short shifter, transmission mount, small issues solved.

Talk to Dean at Fast Stuff.

Plenty of knowledge with B7 RS4 and more than capable.

Another vote for Audvolks who did a carbon clean and some other servicing work for me when I first got my RS4 - that was a 8+ years ago now though.
More recently I was using Volkstech in Heidelberg West - professional, knew what they were doing, good clean workshop, good service.

Enjoy the car, great machines!

Tock, Volkstech is my local, any reason for ‘was using’? Thanks.

Heard that Volkwerke in Doncaster are also an option.
Might take a day off and insitu conduct interviews for the role…….:big_wink:

Boys, you’ve been awesome.

Just haven't needed them in a fair while is all.

Forgot about Volkwerke somehow :???: - they did my final RS4 service and a rotor and pad change for me and were also very good. They have a guy there (can't remember name) who knows the B7s well and had a good chat about my car and its condition. Bigger operation, very clean.

Can't go wrong with either I reckon.

Did you end up buying the white one off carsales?

Yes Mate, I did.
Picked it up fortnight ago.
DD'ing it to get to know it and it's peculiarities.
Have visited the 2 nearest recommended service techs.
Making a decision which way to go.

Due for its annual service shortly.
Has a very comprehensive history, serviced every 12 months since new.
Drives well, nothing obvious requires atention.

Last weekend spent detailing it, this w/end will be the same, then it should be properly clean!

Congrats KGB - such a good looking car still, and so rare in white. Hope it gives you plenty of hassle free driving pleasure.

Thanks Alister, but really it needs one or two small 'hassles' to ensure it has personality and character! So far, so good, only small hassles to sort out...may the force be with me:kiss_rings:

@KJB - I too recently took delivery of a 2008 B7 RS4.

Bought one previously new back in 2007 and have regretted selling since.

I use Simon at Peerless Automotive as he's had extensive experience on the B7 Platform and knows his way around these models. Have just collected mine after having Peerless go over mine top to bottom.
