I'm sure you're already all over this Muckman, but make sure you slab is thick enough to support a hoist (not all are).
Yeh Im more then likely going back to a scissor but if I was to go with a two post iv been told I would have to do that after the slab is laid.
Most builders wont accommodate custom slabs.
But I what I might be doing is counter sinking it and installing a built in scissor so that its completely flush.
Post hoists can get in the way and being that im only going up about 1.5 meters, i dont think I need a post.
I do however like the portable scissor units being that you can move and position them anywhere in the garage. But I cant stand using the assist Ramps.
So I think a counter sunk scissor lift is the way to go.
Question is where would I position it
