Took delivery of new RSQ3 today!

Wifey traded her S3 on a PFL RS3 in 2016 & has been SUPER happy with it, she rarely gets beaten at the lights!
We keep in touch with our Audi Dealer from time to time, and usually during a service visit drop into the showroom to see what's happening, & some time ago we talked about what an RSQ3 would be like, but that was all, no selling/buying talk etc.
Anyway, about a couple of weeks ago, we got a call from our Dealer to say they had a "Dealer Order" RSQ3 coming in, & would we like to come in, so we did, but couldn't see the car beacause it was just off the boat!
It was nardo grey, panoramic roof, Audi black rings & carbon inlays,..pretty much what we would've ordered, it was missing matrix headlights & "dynamic" rear indicators (maybe of concern to some, but not to us), & has only one key, but Audi will definitely supply the other key when available.
Our PFL RS3 had needed a couple of tires, reg due in 8 days!, rear washer not working, out of warranty etc etc, so we did the deal. Immediate delivery in contrast to major unavailability/waiting times etc was a contributing factor too.
Took delivery today, but here's a bit of info that we were told,....Audi is suspending orders on RS3 (shortage of engines/engine parts we were told) as at today (all existing orders will be filled, but no new orders)
Anyway, the car was delivered in beautiful condition, Karen has a big smile on her face, so all is good!

Congrats Pickles (Mrs Pickles / Karen).

Would be interested to hear your thoughts on how the two cars compare and of course see some pics of the new car.

Here are a few images of Nadia, Karen's new RSQ3. We are not too flash on computers, but here's a few "sideways" pics to "prove" it did happen!

Sorry about the "sideways" pics.
Haven't done many Ks to date, but we are VERY happy with the new car.
Like I've said, the car was delivered in faultless condition, & Karen was given plenty of time with Gary (Sales Exec) to explain to her anything different to our trade in RS3.
I've only driven the car once, & I like it. Obviously just a little bit "softer" than our trade in, but we expecetd that.
So, we're happy, more relaxed & more space in the front cabin, more space in the rear (SUV version). & just generally a tiny bit more "mild" than the RS3.
For what it is, if ya want an SUV type vehicle of this size & performance, I don't know of anything that could compare.
We've looked at the CLA 45,...Nice car, but the RSQ3 is more "relaxed", if that makes any sense.
Karen said she felt relaxed & "at home" in it, Straight away.......it loses nothing on performance, but provides a bit of extra stuff relative to space & practicality for our needs.

Looked great, even sideways!

SUV'S are so popular and I can see why. Being over 50, a lowered S5 is good fun, but for longer trips, the Skoda Kodiaq vRS eats it alive for comfort and how you feel after 3 or 4 hours on the road.

Yes, I agree, some form of comfort is necessary on longer trips.
The RS3 had a good number of adjustments for the front seats, as does the RSQ3, we find that the "thigh support" which slides out manually from under the front seats is particularly helpful. I think there is a greater range of lumbar support in the new car too. These are both minor issues/adjustments I suppose, but over a distance they can make a noticeable difference.

Hello Alistair, well now that we've had the RSQ3 for several weeks, we can say that it's just about perfect, Karen's had a thyroid op so not allowed to drive for a couple of weeks, which has given me a chance to have a bit more of a steer.
Our PFL RS3 had the 270KW iron engine, the RSQ3 has the 294KW alloy engine, we haven't noticed any marked difference in performance, both cars have got "Heaps".
There's more room in the front passenger area of this car, and of course the infotainment & screens etc are updated.
It's perhaps a little bit different to accurately steer on some occasions owing to the fact that the front is higher off the ground and you can't quite see as much of the road immediately in front of the car, but no big deal, just a matter of getting used to it after the RS3.
21" wheels/tire combo over corrugations/bumps etc may be a bit more noticeable but again no big deal.
The RSQ3 has an "electronic" power reat tailgate which makes it much easier to access the rear.
So yes,we love the RSQ3, maybe a bit less "focussed" than the RS3, a bit more "relaxed", but if anyone wanted a car of this size/configuration, with this level of performance, I can't think of anything that would compare.
Previously I've made mention of the fact that Non/limited availability of new RS3s would be good news for used RS3 values, which has been born out by the fact that our PFL RS3 didn't even make it onto the Dealer's website, so it must've sold pretty much immediately.

Took Karen's RSQ3 that we took delivery of on 31/10 last, back to the Dealer yesterday, for its complimentary 3 month "checkover," & to pick up & have programmed the second key, which was not available upon delivery of the car last October.
The car, to this stage, has been perfect, but it was good to have a checkover anyway.
WE did have a query about a wheel locknut key, but our car does not have locknuts so no key required.
Spoke to Sales Manager, who confirmed that if you haven't got a Vin number, build allocation or whatever, then you ain't going to get an RS3. He said there are some delays for some cars that are coming, being quarantined & having to be "cleaned" upon arriving in Aussie, & even some ships waiting to unload in the bay because quarantining etc is causing lack of storage space.
So, no new RS3 orders at the moment, or the foreseeable future, & He had no idea whatsoever when they would be able to recommence taking orders, RSQ3 orders might arrive by the end of the year He thought.
So, all in all, we consider ourselves very lucky to have secured our RSQ3. We did not order the car, We'd not even seen one, we'd just been talking to the dealer a few months prior, we didn't even know the cars were coming into stock,` until we got a call from our Dealer! it was one of two ordered as stock by our Dealer, ours was Nardo Grey & the other was black, both fitted with pano roof, carbon inserts, black rings etc etc. We hadn't even seen ours when we said we'd take it, & the other black car was sold very soon after.
