Went for a drive day with some mates out through winding country roads. The little bug did very nicely indeed. What was there:
* stock 2003 911 targa
* stock S2000
* 2003 350Z with titanium exhaust
* 300ZX twin turbo, exhaust
* 2002 Integra Type R, suspension
* 325Ci, m3 suspension/wheels
The first run i had was with the 911 from about 100km/h upwards on some big empty sweepers... was pretty even till about 150 where he started slowly easing away.
Had a few side by side 2nd gear roll on's with the S2000... of course I let him reach his powerband before we went. Every time I would easily pull away.
The 350Z was closer... but I was still able to ease away slowly.
In the tight corners there was no competition... the grip and surefootedness of 4WD saw to that.
Don't want to get into a debate over the supposed performance based on paper specs etc. Was no competition but rather a fun day seeing how the various cars did against each other and based on driver-car combinations my bug and I did real good. Was good fun!
