Tune and running in question

New member
HI guys

I would like to do a tune on my new S5 and wondered whether I should put in at least 1000kms first before putting the car on the dyno and doing some pulls as part of the tune? I've done 700kms now.

Also does the B9 free up after running in or the motor pretty well run in out of the factory

it used to be that engines had to be run in for 1k, then an oil change.

not sure with yours, is it booked in to be 'checked' at 1k?

Hi there
No, my car's first service is after 15000kms
Ok, sounds like the engine is already 'run in' then..

I would still personally give it a few thousand more kays to make sure all is ok.

Also remember that newer cars 'may' have a TD1 flag set if you get it chipped. Do a bit of research from your chipping provider on what that means to your warranty.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for modding cars, but go in with eyes wide open!
