    Interesting. I thought there would be enough interest to just put a price on it without having to go to auction.

    Auction ones always make me feel like there is something wrong with it and the owner just wants to get rid of it.

    I'm not into auctions but my friend is and during this last 18 months they have soared. The good stuff gets put up with amazing reserves. Whereas a private buyer somehow seems to feel obliged to bargain a discount for the sake of it, the same guy at an auctions will bid high to win the buy. For all the doomsayers, there seems to be a hell of a lot of spare money out there this year.
